Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

This policy explains what information the Power Sync iOS app ("Power Sync", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Power Sync is published on the App Store by HDIDI LTD. If you have questions, email [email protected].

1. Summary

2. Health data from Google Health

When you choose to connect, Power Sync asks you to sign in with Google and grant read-only access to some or all of these Google Health API permissions:

Permission (scope)Data Power Sync reads
Activity and fitness (googlehealth.activity_and_fitness.readonly)Steps, distance, floors, active energy, total calories, cardio fitness (VO2 max) and exercise sessions (type, time, duration, calories, distance).
Health metrics and measurements (googlehealth.health_metrics_and_measurements.readonly)Heart rate, daily resting heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen (SpO2), breathing rate, weight, body fat and height (height is used only to calculate body mass index).
Sleep (googlehealth.sleep.readonly)Sleep sessions and sleep stages.
Nutrition (googlehealth.nutrition.readonly)Daily water intake and food calories you log.

Power Sync also asks Google for your email address (openid and email), which is shown in the app so you can see which Google Account is connected.

How we use it. Power Sync uses this data only to provide the feature you ask for: writing the data types you select into Apple Health on your iPhone when you start a sync. We read only the data types you have chosen to sync, for the time range you choose.

Where it goes. The data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) from Google directly to the Power Sync app on your device. Power Sync keeps it in memory only for the duration of a sync and then writes it to Apple Health. It is not uploaded to our servers or to any third party.

Limited Use. Power Sync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the Google Health API Developer and User Data Policy. In particular, we do not use or transfer Google user data for serving ads, we do not sell it, we do not use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending, and we do not allow humans to read it unless you ask us to for support and give us your consent, it is needed for security purposes, or the law requires it. The only transfer of your Google Health data is the one you request: from Power Sync into Apple Health on your own device.

Access tokens. When you connect, Google gives the app access and refresh tokens. They are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and are used only to read the data described above. They are deleted, and revoked with Google, when you disconnect.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

Power Sync asks for permission to write the data types you select to Apple Health, and to read the same types so it can avoid creating duplicates of data it wrote earlier. Data from Apple Health is never sent off your device by Power Sync, is not used for advertising or marketing, and is not shared with third parties.

4. Legacy Fitbit connection

If you connected Power Sync to a Fitbit account before the move to Google Health, Power Sync reads the same categories of data from the Fitbit Web API, in the same way and for the same single purpose, until you switch to Google sign-in or until Google turns that API off (announced for October 30, 2026). When you switch, Power Sync revokes its Fitbit token.

5. Other information we collect

Like most apps, Power Sync uses a small number of service providers to keep the app working and to understand how it is used. These providers receive app usage and device information, never your health data:

ProviderPurposeInformation
Apple (App Store, StoreKit)Purchases and subscriptionsPurchase and subscription status. Apple processes payments; we never see your payment card.
ACAnalytics (our own analytics service)Verifying purchases, subscription status, install and app-version analyticsApp install identifier, app version, device model and OS version, App Store receipts and transaction identifiers.
Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config, anonymous Authentication, Firestore)App analytics, remote settings, error diagnosticsApp events, app version, device type, an anonymous app identifier, and technical error details (for example an error code and the name of the request that failed). Error diagnostics never include your health data or tokens.
AppsFlyer, Meta (Facebook SDK), Qonversion, AdaptyInstall attribution and subscription analyticsAdvertising and device identifiers (only if you allow tracking when iOS asks), app install and purchase events.

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to answer you. If you ask to join an early-access list, we use the Google Account email you give us only to grant you access and to contact you about it.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your health data with anyone. We share the limited non-health information in section 5 only with the providers listed there, under their own terms, and we may disclose information if the law requires it.

7. Retention and deletion

To revoke Power Sync's access to your Google data at any time, disconnect in the app (Settings > Disconnect Google Health) or remove Power Sync at myaccount.google.com/connections. To ask us to delete any information we hold about you, email [email protected]; we will act within 30 days. Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete your data page.

8. Security

All network connections use HTTPS. Tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Health data is processed on your device and is not kept on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we collect.

9. Children

Power Sync is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email [email protected] to exercise these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use Google user data, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
